It is for this reason that GFA are pleased to help distribute these programs, that minister to specific individual needs of people around us in our communities. Whatever the situation a person finds themself in, they must be able to cope, and be able to plan a positive course of action for the future, to get their life back on track. Though these programs are not strictly "parenting programs", they can have a huge influence on an individual, and after all, are we not all members of families? And are we not all models to those around us to one degree or another?
Who are ENABLERS WA?
The current National Directors of Growing Families Australia, Bill and Joan Grosser, have been distributing these programs for a number of years, and have also been using them in their own counselling sessions with clients under the banner of ENABLERS WA. They are excited to see the programs being made available to the church to use, to reach out into their local community with a practical message of hope and love.

GRIEFSHARE - Your Journey from Mourning to Joy
Each GriefShare video session is designed to help hurting people by combining practical information with a biblical, Christ-centred focus on the spiritual issues which accompany the grieving process: GriefShare is designed as a weekly seminar and support group which can meet in your church, in a home or any other convenient location. Very importantly, these groups are designed be led by lay people from your church, modelling the concept described in 2 Corinthians 1:3-6.

Each weekly GriefShare meeting consists of two distinct elements:
Seminar: The instructional material is provided to you in the form of 13 DVD sessions, averaging 35 minutes in length. These sessions, produced in an interesting television magazine format, cover topics important to people going through a time of grieving. Imagine what it would cost your ministry to bring in the best help available on grief-related issues. Support Group: Much healing occurs when people have the opportunity to talk about their grief experiences and hear others who are dealing with similar problems. The weekly support group session is designed to follow viewing of that week's video, allowing an opportunity for discussion of the content of the tape and a time of personal sharing for group members. The support group discussion time, led by lay facilitators, will allow people to share their feelings and experiences. They come to understand that “they are not alone,” that there are others who are going through similar experiences. The support group becomes a “family,” with members ministering to each other.
