Hi and welcome to Growing Families Northern Territory.

 

 

Introducing your State Representatives:

 Darwin     

Wayne and Sharon Tregea have been serving as State Reps for the Northern Territory since early 2002. They have been married just short of 12 years with their anniversary coming up in late September. With four children, ranging in age from 1 month to almost 9, three girls and a boy, they have been involved in Growing Families since the eldest was four months of age.

Returning to Alice Springs in 1999, Wayne and Sharon started leading classes in their local church and were gradually connected with a network of families throughout the town in various churches who had either already taken classes, or who wanted to take them. From this a team of key leaders was established to work together to deliver the materials to families in an effective and efficient way through sharing resources. However, such is the nature of the territory, that members of that team have now moved on both interstate and overseas, and they find themselves re-establishing the current face of Growing Families in the Territory

Wayne is a lecturer in Horticulture and Landcare at Centralian College and has been involved on the Board of our local church Christian Community Centre, Alice Springs. Sharon is at home with the youngest of the children and involved as chairperson on the council of Araluen Christian School.

It is definitely our desire for the Northern Territory to 'Reach One Family at a Time' with the practical message presented in Growing Kid’s God's Way, of how we can define God to the World and help the World find God.
