Dear Friends,
Some weeks ago the Growing Families New Zealand Trust Board (GFNZ) asked
Growing Families Australia (GFA) if we would be willing to take
responsibility for supplying New Zealand with Growing Families materials.
After much prayer and discussion we have accepted the responsibility and
privilege.
 We
believe in, and have a vision for, parent-discipleship and for raising
children who are responsive to God and morally responsible. We believe that
the Growing Families materials produced by Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo are the
best parent-discipleship material available at present. We are aware that
they are not perfect and are somewhat dated with a limited shelf-life,
however we are actively seeking to continue to work on this aspect of the
ministry. We have been shown other materials but have not seen anything to
equal Growing Families International (GFI) programs.
Over these past 10 years since we began to develop Growing Families
Australia, we have had over 35,000 families attend one or more of the
programs and now see the very blessed results in thousands of families –
children whose lives are yielded to God and are beautifully morally
responsible. These families in Australia have developed a strong like-minded
community all over the country. We do not call GFA a “ministry”, but a
“miracle” that only God could have done and sustained.
We believe one of the keys to the ongoing success has been that we have
actively and continually striven to “Australianise” the foundation materials,
and produced our own supportive materials. From Australia the programs have
spread to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Singapore and other countries where the
same results are being experienced.
Hence we still have a passion for promoting parent-discipleship through the
use of Growing Families programs wherever the Lord leads.
So, to accept the responsibility of amalgamating with GFNZ, we have agreed to
do so with the following conditions:

That we do not just “care-take”, but
actively promote, encourage, support and strengthen the NZ base –
re-establishing a network of like-minded families. Eventually we hope to have
local NZ support teams such as we have in each state of Australia.

All administration and distribution of
materials will occur from Australia (the GFA nation office is soon to
relocate to South Australia). We will give the same prompt service to GFNZ as
we are currently giving here.

Materials will be easily accessible
through our website at www.gfi.org.au, by email at sales@gfi.org.au or by
phone/fax: 61 8 94461671 and mobile 0438 044 155. Orders are dispatched
within 48hrs (usually immediately they are received).

 We are
seeking response to this letter from all parents and churches who are
currently using, intend to begin using again, or have recently used GFI
materials so we can build a strong GFNZ database. May we request that you
make contact with us if you wish to remain on the Growing Families database –
this is very important for the ongoing ministry in New Zealand.

All current NZ stock to be disposed of by
mid-December – please see enclosed “Closing Down Sale” flyer. The prices are
drastically reduced – we aim to have all material sold. This will be done
through the normal channels in NZ. At the end of December all sales will
transfer to Australia and the NZ warehousing and dispatch operation will
cease. Take advantage of this excellent sale to stock up for future classes,
you will never get this material at this price again.

All funds generated from the NZ materials
closing sale is to be used for the support of the ministry in NZ – i.e. we
want to bring two key couples to our GFA National Conference for Easter 2007
(April 5-9). Donations to support this venture would also be appreciated.

NZ parents will have easy access to all
materials which will be sold to you at current NZ prices, or less, (including
postage) from the GFA office.

The GFNZ website address will be linked to
the Australian website to maintain an ongoing connection for the continuity
of contact via www.gfnz.co.nz.

We plan to re-establish Contact Mums and
GEMS in NZ – if you have been involved in this ministry in the past, or would
like to be in the future, please let us know.

The On Becoming Series (inc. Babywise) are
selling well in NZ – eventually we plan to connect with the people using this
excellent material which is designed to reach the pre-christian.
We are aware of the difficulties GFNZ has
had over the past year or so – however we do believe that the ministry will
be revived, and we will diligently work and pray for this. Gary and Anne
Marie Ezzo are normal, ordinary people with faults like you and me, to whom
God gave a gift and responsibility to share with the world. This amazing
“miracle” has changed the lives of millions worldwide and will continue to do
so as we seek to use the foundational principles of God’s Word as presented
through GFI materials, while we are actively seeking to upgrade the vehicle
that presents them.
