NATIONAL NEWSLETTER - OCTOBER 2007    -   posted 12/10/2007

 

 From the National Administration Managers - Andy & Robyn Hamdorf

 

Well it is now October, and we are finally sending out our 1st “monthly” newsletter. We have settled into the role of Administrators with only a few hiccups!! We are really enjoying what we do and count it a privilege to be able to be in touch with many of you regularly and to hear the encouraging things that are happening in your families and the courses you are running or attending. We have had a few difficulties in producing some of the stock items and so would like to apologise if you have been affected by delays in what you require.

 

Please make sure you order your materials in plenty of time and we will do everything we can to try and get it to you. We had a lovely time with Bill and Joan in Adelaide for a couple of weeks last month and had the “official” opening of the office. It was very encouraging and uplifting to have them hear and to be spurred on in what God has called us to. We really are intending to send this newsletter out monthly and would love to hear any testimonies and news of what is happening in your communities so we can all gain a greater understanding of how God is working in this ministry. We appreciate your continued prayers, (as we also pray for you ) as we continue to find our feet and also finish renovating our house.

Product of the Month

This is a new book by Simone Boswell. It is a great book to help parents through the first 12 months of their babies life. In this easy to read book, you will find tips and suggestions to help you achieve that Calm Baby, so that you can be a Confident Mum. From newborns, through to the first birthday, you can read about feeding your baby, putting your baby to sleep, and playing with your baby. When we were expecting our first baby, we watched other parents. So many were tired and frazzled, and their babies cried a lot. Others were calm and confident. What did those parents do differently? As Simone discovered, many of those calm babies were being managed on a flexible routine. This book will share what Simone, and many other families have discovered: how to manage your baby on a flexible routine, thus creating a Calm Baby, and a Confident Mum.

“Our nearly 3 year old daughter, for example, in the last few months had taken to waking us up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, despite the fact that she is fully potty trained, totally capable during the day of toileting herself, and hasn't needed to toilet at night for well over a year. Anyway, after week 2's session we implemented "Couch Time". She has been sleeping through the night ever since! Praise the Lord!"

Opening Hours - Our office opening hours are stated below. If the office is unattended during these hours please feel free to contact the mobile if you need to speak with us urgently. We do try and be in the office during the majority of these hours, however we are sometimes called away with different activities associated with the office or involving the children. We will certainly get back to you promptly if you leave a message on the answering machine.
