General Sessions

There will be several main sessions throughout the conference covering key elements of our theme "Tackling the Journey Together".  The main sessions would be attended by all parents, while the kids will be having a great time in our children’s program or crèche.

Electives

In addition to the main sessions, there will also be a range of electives you can choose from that will focus on specific topics of interest to you and provide more in-depth information (and the ability to ask questions).

Husbands and wives can decide to attend the same elective or they might decide to spread out and attend separate electives.

The elective choices will be provided closer to the conference date, but the range of electives on offer at the 2014 conference is listed above.

*NEW* for this conference.  We will have an elective stream geared towards young adults.

Mum’s night out

There will be an evening session for the Mums to come together and have a specific topic just for them, while Dads remain with the kids at their accommodation.

Further details will be provided on this session as we get closer to the conference.

Dad’s night out

There will also be an evening session for the Dads to come together while Mums remain with the kids at their accommodation.

Again, further details will be provided on this session as we get closer to the conference.

Children's Program

An age appropriate Children's Program will be available for all children between 4 and 12 years of age during the morning sessions of the Main Conference.
The afternoons will be available to enjoy as family time (i.e. there will be no sessions in the afternoon) and for the GFA community to spend time together (to hang out!).
There won't be any programs for the children during the evening.

Crèche

There will be a creche offered for children between the ages 18mths and 3 years during the morning sessions of the Main Conference.

When you book, please tell them you’re with the GFA conference so they can try to put  conference families together.

Transport around Broken Hill

For those that do not have their own transport in Broken Hill we will provide a shuttle system or a buddy system with another family.  Nothing is too far away so you will always be able to get to where you need to go.
